I agree with the Portland ranking (dont drive the eastern U.S.,), but I have found out that just about everyone is on the 'verge' of being a 'road rager' that lives in the larger metroplexes! People are so stressed out and pressed for time these days that they are always touchy/sensitive and ready to rant(give the finger) if the opportunity arises. And EVERYBODY hates Big trucks out there, and of course we hate 4-wheelers too not to mention RV's! (esp travel trlrs and 5th wheelers).
But I hate to admit it, that when in my personal 4-wheeler I see more trucks doing more dumb things than I do all week while driving a big truck, and they piss me off too!! So, having been of both sides of the issue, ...I'll just shut my mouth and drive! heh heh

I think the one who done the survey is on something. Not to be confused with onto.
Seattle & Portland whaat?
I would run New York city all day before I would be stuck in Portland for 3 hours.
Miami just plain sux. And I don't think its road rage. It's Granny and Mia Amigo clogging the roads there. -
the next time someone pulls out in front of you i bet it has a north carolinia tag.......
-
Naa, most of them say Cobb County, Georgia. -
Har Har!!
If a car has Arkansas plates on it, run!!!
I am very impressed with the 4-wheelers in Seattle, they give me room and allow merging and the like. Portland??? Well the fact that it is in Oregon offsets anything good said about them.
NYC is another surprise. All of the horror stories you hear ... well, my experience is opposite. Although it is crowded, the drivers there are well behaved. (BTW I go to Javit's with a 53' from the GW so I know what it is like to do the Manhattan drive :smt073) -
I have to admit, the only city I've done ANY rig driving in is Denver, and that was limited. No problems - but it was not rush hour.
I *have* driven POV in every one of the 10 cities mentioned (top and bottom 5) and .. well, I pretty much agree with their assessment. Pretty much. I'd put polite as Seattle/Portland/Minneapolis/Chicago/Cleveland - with Pittsburg nr 6.
But that's just me. About half the cities are "occasional drive through", and the other half are "spent a fair bit of time there" - which may account for the relative positions on my part. -
Chicago should deff. be on that list. And I also agree about NY I run the Island about twice a month not bad at all just run GW in and out just stay away from the bottom side.

There are times when driving a rig in any city just down right sux! Denver is no exception.
Whats worse is when you have to take a long wheelbase large car with a long car hauler into some of the areas that have car dealerships. And truck parking to unload or load was not an their list of things to do when the dealership was put in. -
good to see portland as being one of the top cities....i don't see Los Angeles as being one of the worst??? how bout morning commute that they have at 80mph bumper to bumper if thats not dangerous i dunno what is.
