Redocober83,
Thank you for the help and everything you have done. No need to be sorry, I hope you find a good student saw you talking to one today. The trainer is pretty awesome so far, we like pretty much all the same thing so bonding shouldn't be a problem. He states I'll be doing most of the driver(all besides the first trip so i can watch and ask questions) he has yet to yell at me even when i effed up and couldn't find the right gear when down shifting, and when i stalled the truck when he was trying to show me starting on a hill. To actually answer your question, Reefer. Funny part is hes about to go Walmart Dedicated as i was telling you so that'll give me some good practice with city traffic, stop and go, and downshifting so i'm happy.
Looking forward to the weeks ahead and will keep everyone updated;
Going to sleep been packing, tried to do laundry bought there was a line so i said screw it going to do it tomorrow if i can as we have to get the qualcom checked out tomorrow before we head out as his is starting to go out.
Take care,
Justin

And, of course, he did not go to sleep for another hour. Also, he did not let me sleep until my chosen time; something about saying goodbye, or something like that. The lazy Buckeye then proceeded to hang around the main terminal for the entire day; eating, dozing, smoking, etc. *rolls eyes* I was, of course, a bit jealous since HE got to be warm all day. LOL
Have a good time, Justin! You'll do just fine...and then you'll train later. 'Cause that's just how you are. LOL See ya out there! Oh yeah...and...um... The Flash sucks. HA!Last edited: Jan 10, 2015

Just got back at the DC. Instructor did all the driving to the last stop so I could watch and observe while we had a trailer. We dropped and hooked up a empty trailer back to the DC. I need to work on my downshifting somemore and my turning its as if my mind goes blank and I can't find the proper gear to down shift. All in all it was my first drive on a busy freeway and what not so got lots to learn. Take care folks.

Shift points
3rd - Start in this gear 97% of the time
4th - 5 mph
5th - 10 mph
6th - 15 mph
7th - 20 mph
8th - 25 mph
9th - 35 mph
10th - 45 mph
Down Shifting is the same in reverse.
Basically what this is saying, when you hit the mph shift to that gear. For example, when you are at 5mph shift to 4th gear. This will also help you determine what gear you should be in or what gear you are in. For example, if you are between 35mph and 45mph you should be in 9th gear. If you are between 20mph and 25mph you should be in 7th.
Hope that helps.

Your going to be working on this for awhile. That's why you're out with an instructor.
Repetition, my man. Repetition. It'll all come together with time & practice.
It ain't going to come overnight.
We've all been there. You'll do just fine.
Chucktshoes Thanks this. -
So I just talked to Dustin Hensley (Prime Recruiter) after submitting an online App 2 days ago. He stated it would be a day or two before they processed my app and verified everything - within an hour he called me back and said my app has been approved and I am good to go. Is this normal ?
Also - I am a West Virginia Resident without a CDL, do I need to obtain a WV permit before I leave and go to the Prime School in MO ? -
The-Big-Guy Thanks this.
