have the drivers meeting and dinner tomorrow just barely gonna make it. Not going to be much for home time this weekend.
Been an an interesting and annoying week. Interesting maybe isn't the right word. Maybe just annoying lol. Will be Sunday before I get around to posting it. -
Well so far i got called back monday and told me then had some people sick and with the holidays not many people in so not alot got done and i told her i figure that too. They still working on the references and I told them some of those companies are no longer in business. Mel called me today and told me that one of the numbers i gave her wasn't right, so i got her the number and she said i'll give them a call right away. I told her they just called me last month trying to hire me back and that's why i knew i gave her the wrong number........so it seems they are interested in me, so i'm hoping they call me soon.
Happy New Year. -
Well good morning, all the readers------
Well this week, they pushed out all the PTP drivers on Sunday ( all 3 of us-LOL), instead of the norm which for 2 of us is Monday, and the other is Tuesday, they had a Gatorade crisis, all PTP drivers on deck, LOL-- did live loads on Sunday and we all went to Atlanta Gatorade, one of the Ptp drivers got in Saturday and was pushed out Sunday on a recap, me and the other Ptp driver went out early for the Sunday run, Did 3200 for miles and 6 d/h fees not bad about 1400. for the week, the other driver did about 3700 and 8 drop and hook fees= about 1644.50 for his week, was out for 6 work days all of us, it was actually a good week, not the miles but the dispatch!----I know--I know, it can not be true---- but it was, have nothing bad to say, just a couple of small hiccups was all, here's what I did---
Sunday ------------- Came out live load Gatorade in Kissimmee Fl, 3 hrs
Monday ------------- Arrive at Gatorade dispatch to Wal-Mart in Albany Ms., then deadhead to the factory in Ecru, Ms.,
Tuesday ------------ Dispatch from Ecru to Advance
Wednesday ---------Dispatched to Jacksonville drop yard, then deadhead to Langboard in Ga.
Thursday------------ Then to Advance Nc, then to Brandon Fl
Friday --------------- Got to Brandon about noon time 3200 miles not bad, off until Monday back on our routine, leaving out on Monday
________________Pepsi to Columbia Nc.
The other driver did the same in the beginning, but he ended up doing the Richmond shuttle a few times when he got to Advance and deadheading back a few times then dispatched home, he got in about 1700 on Friday, he did have a few small hiccups, but all in all no problems--also.
Was surprised on the miles this week, usually in the mid 2500's for this time of year, they also pushed a lot of Ecru drivers over to Advance for work this week, ran into a few that I new.
The new truck------dam-nice, does not float nearly as much as the 2012 model, its a 2015 model- and seems a lot more quiet, nice, they replaced mine and another drivers at Brandon Yard, we both picked them up at Advance---they took them both back to Arcadia, for a rehab, and ready them for a reissue for the new hires coming up, the one thing I wish I could do to the new truck is remove the TV mount, what a pain in the butt, nocked my head on that thing a few times already, its in the way of my coffee pot, dam important, I use my 17" laptop as a tv instead, I know- I know what a problem to have----LOL
It is throwing a few codes but what do u expect, its new! But it is nice--I have got to say they do spend the money on the Trucks--it is nice, makes the life on the road a lot better-I -tell ya!Last edited: Jan 10, 2015

Ok that's a good sign, you have made it threw the first level, they have already done the electronic checks, and you have made it past that part, now they are doing the manually part the phone calls and reference checks!
JOB AID -------TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS U MAY HAVE.Back ground info for this company on what they look at just a job aid====
Have to have 2yrs exp, 1 year recent
If you did qualify for a position, they will let you relocate to fill it.
PTP (drop and hook can pay up-to about 70,000 a year +-)
LTL (Live unload, which is moving the furniture to the back of the trailer can earn up-to 90,000 +-)
This is mostly day time driving, up to about 11pm at most.
When they do back ground checks, they out source the back ground checks, and they are very complete.
They will contact all of your previous employment's, to see if you are qualified for a rehire.
They may also do a credit check, if that happens low credit scores will work against you. If you are not qualified for a rehire that too will work against you, your DMV record has to be very clean, and the DOT record has to be very good with low or no points.
Job hopping will also work against you ex: 1 year at five different jobs
Your psp report has to have very low points or none at all, they will let you have a few points here. I have seen someone hired with as many as 60 points on the psp report.
No gaps in employment history, with out a letter explaining why! They will try to verify .
When filling out the Appt., I have seen better feed back by doing it in writing, instead of the computer Appt, they are not technically endowed, in my opinion (LOL)
When you do the Appt, my advise is to fill it out like you mean it, Example==
Include:
copy of Drivers Lic (front and back)
copy of PSP report
copy of Credit report (optional) looking for that credit score number
copy of DMV report ( 10 year )
copy of Med Card and or Long form, front and back
copy of Letters of reference from previous employers, the more the better
complete 10 year work history, with good phone numbers and up to date people to contact
copy of Dac report
copy of DD-214 if prior Military
copy of any awards (like in FL they will issue on your lic safe driver) point it out!
When filling out the Appt, make it legible and in the best print you can do.
Keep a copy of everything so if you are asked a question, you can stand a chance of answering it.
After this, you have submitted it, follow up with a phone call, Talk to them, let them know you have submitted the appt , and you are interested in working for them, try to ask some questions about the work, and the company. And write down the name of the person you talked to and there ext, for future reference or contact.
If you make it past the back ground, and the employment checks, and they give you a green light, they will call and do an phone interview-if you past that, you are almost in, the final will be a face to face with some one, when that happens be ready for a road test at the same time- that is the final check to make sure you are who you say you are and not a loony-tune (lol) you know what I mean.
Then you are in after that, they will confirm it with a job offer--
They will bring you to the home office in Arcadia WI, Pay you for your time , put you up in a nice local hotel, feed ya, and most likely issue you a nice truck from there.
There turn over rate is very- very low
Its a good Company to work for, but if you require a lot of special time off, it may not be for you-they like to keep the trucks moving, not setting.
Nice communication is the key with this company, and net working with the dispatchers is key.
They have said that they receive about 100 Appts , a week and 1-2 may make it threw-that's why it is important to stand out like how I have outline above.
This Company is expanding there Driver Fleet by about 40% in the next couple of years, now is a good time to try.
Hope this helps to shed some light on it.

Remote site's, what they have done is they will have a driver come by and interview ya, and give you a test ride, then they report back to the home office, they are paid extra to do this.
They have also had the driver interview with with a local warehouse MGR. The local MGR when you talk to him or her will also give you a test ride so be ready if that is the case.
I also know of a driver that arranged to travel to one of the main locations like Ecru,(he did it on his own) to interview with the local driver MGR for the job, you have choices to move it along to get on---
Hope this helps--- -
LOL he-he-he--- -
ROTAX74
You must be shoveling your butt off! LOL Forecast - feat of snow-dammmm--LOL -
#### sorry to here that!
And that's why I tell people to do the pen app instead!
They are electronically challenged -(at this time, but they are trying)- do the pen app-people instead, that's what they are better at, it has to be done by a human!Last edited: Jan 10, 2015

sounds like you had a good week oneshot. xmas week I worked 4 and half days ran 2100 miles, I ran mon, tues of new years and had Wednesday off for a funeral. I called them Wednesday night no load. called them 3 times Thursday morning and waited on hold for a while each time no answer. so I figured I would have a long weekend off.
I was wrong the planner called me at 130 asked me if I wanted to work, than asked if I would run thru the weekend as they had some drivers off and needed to catch up. as much as I didn't want to I did it. i got into Syracuse this Wednesday night with 6 hours left and they told me i was done for week. i did not gain anything running the weekend. i ran 3400 miles total for the 7 days out.
i told her when i said i would work the weekend that i did not want to get stuck on it and she said that she would get me back on Monday out this week. i will leave tomorrow afternoon pick up a bh in Allentown and go to leesport.
