Not sure if I used it wrong or qualcom screwed up. I was almost 4 hours into my 10 on off duty...logged on to off duty drive to run down to walmart and now computer is showing that I only have been off duty for 1 hour instead of 5...never had this problem before...thought t that was what off duty drive was for...is my understanding of using the off duty drive out of whack or is this a fluke and come midnight my original 10 will still go into effect....????? Thanks
elog/off duty drive ?

How far away was WallyMart? The guvment doesn't set a limit, bug some companies will set a mileage limit or a time limit for off duty driving.

Call your safety manager and just have them correct the logs. System can make mistakes, it is far from fool proof

I haven't ever heard of off duty drive. Not saying it isn't there, but on my elogs (qc as well, mcp200) it's just the 4 options. Off, sleeper, on and drive.
Now, if you drive more than a mile you'll be shown as driving. Some variations may occur between companies, but that's how it works for me.
Go over and look at your "approve" tab, see if the original off duty status is there. If I change from off duty to sleeper, it will not show the combined off time. That's my only suggestion. -
Tell your saftey manager tell them that you made a mistake

The way I understand it the only off duty / pc can be used empty. If your loaded or under dispatch you do not qualify. If Im wrong please post the section that clarify off duty use.
flood Thanks this. -
I've never had that problem before (using drive-off duty). I always made it a habit to re-select line 5 when I was headed back to my original position or wherever, just ito make sure it stayed there. Maybe your company is changing the game on you but did not incorporate the change correctly in the system and did not bother to tell you. So in one way it appears you still have the option, but behind the scenes, you don't.
Wouldn't be the first time a company had to remove the option because it was abused too much by too many.Aminal Thanks this. -
Our PeopleNet does the same thing. If ya go from off duty + sb (sleeper berth) and then go off duty pc (personal conveyance), the e log will start a new time count for off duty pc. Still off duty the whole time so ya 10 hour break won't be interrupted.

Thanks for the fast responses....I will doublecheck it and hopefully my 10 is reset, otherwise, worst case, I will be an hour late for pick up if I do a 8/2 split...just used the off duty-drive/pc last week, no problem,....under dispatch, but no load and bobtail, 30 minutes and 20 miles....walmart was7 miles and logged a total of 24 minutes time....I new will post the outcome after I get to wenatchee tommorrow...

Maybe just a glitch, I have a Zonar in this truck and I can use SB/OFF and PC with no issues keeps my 10 hour intact. Like I said before call your Safety dept, Prob just a log glitch.
