that one is kind of tricky. all of their trucks are supposed to be running log books of the electronic kind. As far as I know every truck is equipped with a Qualcomm communication device however depending on who your driver manager is there are some drivers who still run paper logs. If you end up in a older truck like a t700 from '12 or a t660 from '12, chances are you will have an older Qualcomm device. Those devices tend not to work as well as the newer ones and you may often find your Qualcomm system down. They freeze a lot and the electronic logs tend not to credit you for stuff like 30 minute breaks off duty. If you end up in one of these trucks and chances are you will because you're a new driver most likely your Qualcomm system will fail and you will have to resort back to the paper logging. My qualcomm has failed twice since I started but it freezes all the time and has no voice capabilities. That means that when I get a message I have to stop wait for my qualcomm to load and check it. if you end up in the newest one of their trucks a t680 from 2015, they have the latest technology and will not fail. You will have to use it unless you work something out with your DM.

I know some of it may sound like it's bad but truthfully this is not a terrible company. They never really have a slow season so you be sure you'll always be running as long as you have the hours, and smaller company means more access to people higher up on the food chain. This is the only trucking company I know of outside of mom and pops where you can quite literally walk up and speak with the CEO during normal business hours, even as a lowly solo driver. Yes there is ######## just like a lot of other carriers but if your main focus is running and you can't quite call yourself "seasoned" yet, this is about your best bet. There is quite literally no sitting unless you want to and the no forced dispatch rule holds true with most of your dms

Got too close for info.. don't lose your shirt over it. I drove for them for a year, it was one of the years wasted of my life. A friend stayed for 5, he has nothing to show for today, and his lawyer ain't got nothing back from them yet in over a year.

No problem. One thing i meant to add is that Navajo does not really monitor you e logging outside of drive time which cannot be edited. Hypothetically quote unquote you could put yourself off duty during loading unloading fueling and other on duty practies and safety would never say a word. Not that I do that or anything myself wink wink nudge. Plus I have never ever been asked by an officer to see my e logs, even after an accident. When I ran paper for a mom and pop, it would seem like everytime I got in to California it was log inspection time.
