It's not just 3rd party you need to look out for. I hear Enterprise in the Houston area is really putting it to their drivers and not in a good way. A couple of months ago they raised their pay up when they were running on a % and looking to add electronic logs to the trucks as they knew drivers would not be able to complete the amount of loads they were use to getting done. Now they moving the drivers to hourly pay but the overtime is jacked up. Hear some are looking to move on. I guess it is all a sign of the times.
True story, I'm former Enterprise and still have friends there. O/T after like 50 . One bud complained about the hourly O/T and I told him you're lucky, he doesn't have to pay you any O/t.
Elogs there were the chatter even in my time but the carrier knew there was no way we could hit the numbers needed ........and yes the same friends are "looking".
Same with speed limit. The new ones run 70 and the leftovers run 62-65. Your not going to get 2 down to Morgans Point without the 70 mph and be legal on elog.

$31 to start ??? Unless they only pay straight time that sounds very high.
-
That does sound high ($31 per hour) when I was with Phillips 66 I made $25 pH on night shift
-
Again, I heard that through the driver pipline...I have no idea if it's true or not...I've got ocean front property in Arizona too...
mrbmg Thanks this. -
I did hear that from two separate drivers from two different company's though who don't know each other if that lends any truth. Also it's been posted here that the O/T pay scale isn't after 40/hrs so who knows what they are getting...
-
Driver pipeline? Isn't that what this is? We are spose to be starting a few new wells tomorrow (Frac) until I'm being loaded it's just hear say.
-
Driver pipeline = "Gossip Column"
FYI -
... lol.. I hear some guy found bigfoot... but I don't belive what I hear...

God point about financial position. I remember reading that Apache and someone else were the most highly leveraged, so it makes sense they are going after heavy concessions.
The layoffs can be misleading. You have to go deeper into the article if it's not just a headline repeater and many times they say they are laying off overseas, or on verticle wells or on Natural gass properties. Same with rig counts, look at the details before doing a total chicken little.
Thanks for the local reporting.
