I was a company driver so I never worried too much about the new low sulpher deisel. I have a chance to pick up a 1985 motorhome. The ad lists the engine as a GM 6.2L. Are there any additives or other info I should know about? I'm trying to do some homework before purchasing.

I have a 6.2 in a pickup and a suburban. That engine won't haul the hat off your head. Make sure to test drive it climbing a hill.

Taking the sulfur out of the fuel changed nothing, except the damage caused by the sulfur build up breaking loose and damaging the turbo, and building up on the side of piston and scoring the bore.
All the blabber about lubricity is 100% BS they did a test and 2% bio fuel was the very best.

The 6.2 will run fine but like rank stated it will be weak in a motor home.. I had one in a 3/4 ton it was great on fuel but when I hooked up a trailer a loaded semi could out accelerate me easily
