Amen on the Stainless Steel, it looks good and if it's good enough to resist rust/oxidizing then it's no good for securement. As for Galvanizing, yes it probably does degrade the metal strength a tiny bit but I doubt that it would degrade it any more than normal wear and tear on raw steel. However with that being said, I'm no metallurgist and really know nothing about the effects of different treating processes for metals. I do know that Stainless is useless for securement, I've snapped 3/8" bolts with normal box end wrenches.

Here you go Ultra. 20 ton clevis' at rear of RGN where 4th flip axle would attach. As you can see, the attachment points aren't needed when using our spreader/stinger setup...

Here's closeup. I use doubled up mechanics wire to keep pin from backing out when not under pressure-
