I think since I have spent very little time in the NE I just do not know my way around. Heck I do not think I ever learned, in school, Anything other than state names east of the Miss river. I only have a general map in my brain up the Seaboard to NC + NY state and PA. Big Cities and town? Heard of em east of the Miss. Place em on a map? Not a chance.

Heck didn't even now Philly had an ocean dock till I picked up there.

And since I do not drive it regularly I don't know my rest stops and fuel stops.

What a freakin couple of days!!!! First someone messes up my appointment for my second drop in Pendergrass,GA...was 6am according to everyone apart from the *** in receiving......so hung around till 6pm and dispatch had me fixed up to drop the thrid stop (Alcoa,TN) at a redelivery service in Forest Park,GA.....easy,right....WRONG....so there I am backing in to the dock and foot slips off clutch, gets stuck under clutch, hit brake....judder, bang...cue drive line dropping out. Luckily it didn't do any major major damage....could have been better but could have been so much worse, no transmission damage and no rear end damage a bunch of busted U joints and other related stuff. Consensus is that it should never really have busted anything out with only 800 left in the box, evidently something wrong to precipitate a breakage like that. Oh well...these things are sent to try us!

Cracks me up that 800lb on board and my drive shaft drops out.....I've had a rough couple of days but I am still able to smile (without having to call up the help of a major deity...imagine that!)....and my 35lb co driver helps me with that!!! Best thing I did was to take a dog with me!

    joseph1135 Thanks this.

I wish I could have a pet, I had a cat for a little. Best time ever. Things happen, and I wouldn't sweat it. The trucking gods shall smile upon you again. (No deity either except for the chromed out Pete in the sky, lol).

Unloading in Indianapolis this morning. Then over to Trotwood, OH for tomorrow at the ### crack of dawn then to sunny WARM Florida. Seeing as I've been in every cold weather state like WA, OR, ID, UT, WY, NE, IA, IL and now Indiana, Florida and 70 degree weather will be a welcome change.

Open the windows. Smell the air. And no anti-ice on the windshield? Priceless.
