I have recently rehired on with Interstate in the reefer division and like it. Nice equipment, lots of miles.
I run out of Fontana, Calif.
Will keep you all updated as to how things continue.

yes keep us informed was looking at them in dry van just gun shy of big companies never really heard anything bad about them but had to try something else first but they are on the back burner
-
Interstate doesn't pay all that well. I was chatting with one of their recruiters not too long ago and they offered me .33 cpm dry van ( I have 2 yrs. recent dry van experience and all my records are clean). They do have nice equipment though.
7seriestv Thanks this. -
I started at .39 cpm last year with the reefer division. I get .10 of that pre tax per diem. I think that is pretty good along with the full benefit package they have.

I have a feeling you are going to see a lot of the I 5...
-
^Yeah, 70% i-5 or something like that.
Interstate called me the other day and offered me that bs .33cpm, no thanks. I make way more doing what I do and with a lot of home time.
Good luck though, OP. They do have very nice/clean trucks. -
Can't wait to read what's going on. Keep us updated.

I do see I-5 a lot. I am so wierd that I actually enjoy it. But I do lots of miles on I-15, 40, 70, 80 and 10. Also I have seen some beautiful country on US 50 in Colorado and Utah.
For what it is worth, I am taking home an average of a bit over $1000.00 a week I am out. I know that is not enough for some, but I am happy. -
they pay way too low @ 34 cents a mile for 2 years exp. even swift is paying like 36 cpm but other than that. It's a decent company. I ran up and down the 5. You'll see the bay area, tacoma and portland alot.
-
There is way more than just the CPM. You would make way more at say a company like interstate then a company like swift. I've never worked at either but I know that it's not all about the penny's, there are lots more important factors then just CPM. Shoot Crete pays, what? .46 CPM and you couldn't make me ever work there.
