Heavy or light, all pays the same. Wouldn't want to run light across Nebraska / Wyoming would be the only thing

Did that once or twice last year...with areas of 25 mph speed limits and not much weight in the back.

Talk about raising the pucker factor...I discovered ways a trailer can slide that I didn't even know it could.

What a couple of days!!! Good grief!!! Finally got rid of my 2nd stop yesterday in Pendergrass and was dropping my third stop which was suppsed to be going to Alcoa,TN but as I was running way behind they set me up to drop it at a redelivery service in Forest Park....all was well until my foot slipped off the clutch while backing. Needless to say first reaction was to hit the brake as I couldn't get my foot out from behind it....judder, bang.....and lo and behold my drive line drops off. Damage luckily restricted to the U joints and the yoke....so at least it was not like either wrecking the transmission or the rear end. Looking to get out of here tonight and then hopefully pick up my load tomorrow!!! We will see!! This has been a long and tiring couple of days for virtually nothing!

Most people have told me that there is no way that should have killed the drive line, especially as I only had 800lbs left on board.... 1 pallet! Must have been a weakness somewhere is the general consensus! Then followed hand unloading the remaining pallet which wasn't too bad.... all in all a crappy few days but could have been much much worse.....I hate to think what would have happened had the drive line gone out on the drive from Pendergrass to Alcoa.....not an easy drive!

At least you going backward very slow, as opposed, say, to going forward at 65...

Oh it gets better.... so they get into a Nationalease affiliate in Forest Park to fix it...while there is more damage than first thought, specifically BOTH ends broke but nothing other than yokes and u joints they should have been able to get me done, however at around 4.30pm CST they discover that one of the yokes were not ordered, so to cut a long story relatively short I am now in a leased Cascadia and my truck is supposed to be done by Tuesday. ...

We're not done yet. ... yesterday was uneventful apart from picking up my Vegas load 2 days late but today going through the lovely Memphis someone decided they needed off of the highway from the middle lane cut in front of me and braked...luckily I was kind of ready for it and slammed on the brakes a slight lock up on the right rear trailer tires resulting in flat spotting so to the Petro here in Little Rock. ...and been here now for 4 hours....

All of my research on Holland says that its low cpm (.34-.35) and high priced health insurance. Unless there is substantial accesorial pay, it doesnt seem to be a money maker. Kinda hoping I missed something. This is not an attempt at bashing in any way. I am just looking for information.
