Thats the thing that scared me away from them as a company driver. I don't live in a truck because I like it, I do it to make as much money as possible. What good is .46 a mile if I can't get 3000 miles a week to go with it, screw 2300 miles and constantly sitting at truck stops.

I can assure you that you will never average anything close to 3000 miles a week at ACT!
-
Yea i usually make calls. load im on now is a Wal mart load . So not much you can do.
-
Not true at all. Walmart is one of the easiest ones to reschedule. Just call their Central Receiving office and ask to reschedule. You will have to have the PO# and appointment number and ask if they have anything on whatever day you could get there.

Sure you can get more miles. My miles his month are 3300, 3500, 1250, 3850 this week cone Sunday. That low week i was home 4 days delivered a load Tuesday which is why this week is bigger. I don't pay any attention to their appointments. There's a few places you just can't deliver early but most you can.

I usually get fleet avg . Thats about it. .41mi avg last 3 yrs before taxes . I pay between 8500 9000 to IRS every year. To me thats bottom end pay for a lease maybe im wrong. But im making it work .
I have made all my appt on time for 3 yrs now . Made all my truck payments. So thats a plus. But when you throw Hrs available away it sucks. I spend alot of time in Illinois Tx Al Mo Ks Ok shipping lanes . maybe thats the problem.
When its Friday they give you 3 choices 1 Mcpherson to Tx 377 Monday . 2.McPherson to NC 1238 for a Wed. 3. McPherson to Wis. for Tue. with 1 stop appt only. I took Wi. Bad move. finish that week with 1864 mi.
Alot of drivers get good info from there Dm . Mine doesnt even answer the Ph. so makes it even harder to make informed decision.
Ive called some higher ups and had meaningful convo on the issue ran me great for 3 weeks it was awesome avg 500 /day dispatch. Then bottom falls out. Preplans and choice loads are left overs.
This yr. I ran 114,000 mi. (106,000 loaded). Avg .41 mile paid IRS 8800.00. Take home 40,000.
Its my 1st time leasing seems i should make more. And i know i can because some weeks there hrs available on my 70 This week atleast 19 hrs . last week 25. -
I wanted to say thanks for the heads up. I called and rescheduled appt like you said I ended up unloading a day early. Thank you .

No problem. I did that all the time. I always delivered early on any load I could even the ones that would say not to and threaten service failures if you did like the insulation loads or Lowes. Nothing was ever said about it either.
