Lets hope so lol.
Anybody know anything about their new program for student drivers since they just started hiring them? Cheeseman is on my list. I'll be calling and talking to someone about it since there's not much information online. But I would like to get a driver's perspective first if anyone has anything. Thanks guys. -
Had a pal who worked for them for a year. He says they are not bad, not as bad as many but still some crap runs. Starting out I would take Cheeseman over any of the big crap companies. Especially if you live close to them. He says they do have some dedicated runs as well that are not bad but you have to really put your foot down to get those. Meaning if dedicated is what you want, refuse to do anything but.

Easiest job I've ever had. Hardest part is just running through the night which I got used to after a couple of days. Pay is great, especially the 4 CPM extra for hazmat. Downside is I started during the holidays so no holiday pay until after 90 days.
I run the Orlando shuttle so I drive up to Richmond Hill, GA and swap trailers at the TA and bring it down our customers yard. I've only had to make deliveries once since I been here. I plan on riding this gravy train for as long as I can lol I'm loving what I do.
Took our daycab for maintenance the other night and got a sleeper for one night, the very next day I requested to have a sleeper instead, cannot beat the comfort. Let's see what they say about that =] -
they stopped giving out free cheese

I'm in Delaware so not far at all from the fort. trying to avoid the Werner-type companies starting out if i can.
Thanks for the input! sounds like you're doing great there. -
Cheeseman- A Bad Company that is out to rip u off. Beware of them. And Chris D@@Hamll - EFF U!
-
Someone screwed up, ive got a few friends who still drive there or used to and have had 0 issues. I sense.more to your story
-
Been with them 2 years and issues have been minimal, and Chris is a good guy. I will hazard a guess that you are the type of driver that won't be happy anywhere. You can't make it work at Cheeseman, you might as well quit driving.
-
No disrespect intended towards any current or former Cheeseman drivers that had good luck with them (Cheeseman). My issues with them are just that- my issues. They rubbed me the wrong way, & for what they did, I have nothing good to say about them. And therefore, I will rant & spew my dislike for them, because I don't want to see another driver get screwed by them. And as far as Chris goes, I have no respect for him either. So, nothing against u guys out there that do like Cheeseman. That's good for u. As far as I'm concerned, I'm sharing my bad experience with anyone on here, to bring some balance to cheesemans conduct, & it's not as rosy as they portray it to be. Trust me, I've been doing better than fine with another trucking company. Sometimes, it's just gonna turn out that way with some companies, where u will have your good ones & your bad ones. Cheeseman, I feel did me wrong. And I will make sure they will know. They've already known once before. And they will know again. Count on it.
