I agree that an APU is one of the better choices for truck accessories. Up for debate would be diesel, propane, electric, or other?

Current truck has a bunk heater only. That would be a minimum requirement for a sleeper truck.

I've only ever used a diesel APU, so I have no point of reference. But I would never turn one down, that's for sure! All trucks I've driven have had bunk heaters that worked really well, even GTI truck 10210 with the APU that didn't.

SEC would be a good candidate for you DD. Come back without the insanity. I would suggest Lessors, but we have enough guys hitting things here, ha ha. Just kidding. You might be too far out of our hiring areas. You've been gone for about a year, March is coming quick. I would start making calls and seeing who you can get on with.

How far out of Napoleon, OH do you live?

200 miles or so. Oh. I'm one even numbered freeway too far north.

Finished my first day of orientation with Gordon. Like what I have heard so far. Trucks sure look good. Hard to really say so far what it is going to be like but will try to post on here as I go. They do have drivers sharing rooms, not a big fan of that but luckily I could afford to get my own. They flew me here but did bus some people, not sure of their situation so cant comment on that. We did physicals and drug tests. Lots of paperwork. More later about my experience. Be safe out there

    Victor_V Thanks this.

Welcome, Okie. One of the positive things about GTI is they have lots of Oklahoma freight; I have grandchildren in Lawton, and I was trying to get closer.
