I wish I could say you were totally wrong. After a year, I'm at .36 cpm. I think that's the cap, but I'm not sure. Bonuses are attainable though, so I actually usually make .42-.43. From what I understand, family insurance is high. After 2 years, company pays for the drivers insurance. Accessory pay is pretty standard.
What we do have is pretty steady miles, well maintained equipment that is outfitted beyond the industry norm, pet and rider policies, and a company that trusts us to do our job without micromanaging.

What are the bonuses? Production, fuel, safety, or something else? How much overnight driving do you do? I am one of those that would prefer to run 0300-2000 if at all possible? Do they make drivers go thru sleep studies?
-
Safety, production, mpg tier, anniversary. No sleep study. You get your load, and as long as it's there on time, they don't care what time you drive. I like to start my day at 0200-0300. Of course not all loads allow it, but that's the start of most of my days. It's extremely rare for me to be driving at midnight.
-
When are bonuses paid out? Monthly, quarterly, or yearly? Is there generally enough time on the loads to drive when you want to? Dont get me wrong, I like to run 550+ miles per day when possible.
-
Quarterly, except the anniversary one of course

That's what I do. I also end earlier than most day-time drivers, so finding a parking space at the truck stop is much easier.Last edited: Jan 26, 2015

Exactly. Not only that, but showers usually available. I try not to spread the secret too much though, if too many start running this way, we'll lose the advantage lolmitrucker Thanks this.
