It doesn't matter where I park. There's a conspiracy going on and for the life of me I don't understand why they singled me out. Apparently, it's a big group of drivers in on it because it's always a different truck. No matter where I'm at, two or three times a week, when I wake up in the morning, someone has parked illegally and at least partially blocked me in. Sometimes I have to wake 'em up to move so I can get out. I know they're all in on it together because they never tell me anything...they just grunt.

I actually don't see that very often... That's not why truck stops get so full after 8pm (or much early in any high truck traffic areas) that every availabe space (not painted by lines spaces) that wouldn't block in another driver is taken, and there's usually a few guys parked like A-holes blocking in drivers or making turns very difficult for everyone else. This problem is not because 1 or 2 guys in a lot occasionally park poorly. Trust me, at some point in the night, they will get a knock asking them to fix themselves.

If this really is a common occurrence for you, do what I do: drive and park earlier and make sure the spot you grab isn't in an area where people are likely to park like a A-hole in front of you.

I hate truckstops. Usually go somewhere use the restroom and find a wide spot close or in front of where I need to empty out the next morning. I know that it isn't always an option for some guys but it works best for me. -
That depends, how often are these places updated to accommodate modern traffic? If it hasn't been expanded on in 20 years then it's probably to small and not necessarily because there is a driver boom, but because the population is proportionally higher than 20 years ago or whenever the last time these places have expanded. So there will be more trucks around naturally, but doesn't mean the industry still isn't short.

That's the same thing I consider when choosing a parking spotBrandson Thanks this.

That's me.
You don't remember me sir, but five years ago, you threw a stone through my windshield off you dagnabbed big ol' truck, and put a nick in the glass. Three months later, I had to replace that windshield. I have vowed never-ending vengeance upon thee and all thy kin who drive!
You shall NEVER park in peace again, you windsheild nicking troglodyte! Every time you park, my loyal army of trucker minions will seek you out and cause you the maximum amount of inconvenience we can without drawing the official attention of law enforcement! And you shall know us by our grunts! Bwahahahaha! -
Younger people (or me either) are not going to put up with the bulls**t from these lying, cheating, non-paying mega carriers that you all insist where we have to 'pay our dues'. I'm 53 and I don't owe anyone SQUAT.
There isn't a shortage of truck drivers. As many have already said in this post, there is a shortage of people who will put up with deceitful companies that want to use and abuse and then throw away people perhaps even after they have cheated them out of several years of their life.
I know I won't tolerate it. You (collectively) can say what you want, but the total sum of my patience for ######### is ZERO!!
I'd just as soon flip you off and walk away as put up with you and if you lie to my face, I'm liable to call you out on it in front of everyone. Don't even THINK of raising your voice at me.
If I'll tell a Captain in the U.S. Army that I don't owe her squat when I was just a Sergeant, don't think I won't hesitate to tell someone else the same thing. -
It's hard to find drivers with a clean mvr and criminal record. If ya have that, then you'll need to find a driver that won't quit or ain't new. If you find a good one, then you'll need to pay him well and pamper him. If he complains you'll have to wipe his@**. Everyone else goes to companies like swift Pam snider etc
