I've never paid more than $195/hr...that was last summer when I lost my drive shaft. Usually it's only $100/hour. There are a few places with the high dollar toys that sit parked more often than not that charge $375-400/hour...which is why their trucks sit parked more often than not. Nobody 'round here is willing to pay that much unless they don't have a choice.

a picture would be helpfull.
can you get the frame of the tractor under it at all? if you can you might be able to get some of the frame under it and then lift the air bags. then hook your air up open the gates. un pin the landing gear slide the legs in close the gates. then drop the legs to the ground pin them. then drop the air bags throw some wooden blocks between the frame and the trailer then raise the bags again then drop another hole and repeat till you can get under it.
iv had them sink in the mud before but never had the gates come open in the process. if its above the bottom of the taper in the back of the frame you can normally get them to ramp up onto the frame to get the weight off the legs.Kruse Family Farms Thanks this. -

I ALWAYS ask for their rate before I order the truck. Quote me some ridiculously high price like that and I'll tell them straight up that it doesn't bother me one bit to leave their truck parked in their shop for that price, and that I'll find somebody else who is more reasonable. Either they drop their price and make a little, or they stick to it and make nothing. The place I'd normally use is $100/hour, and could run all of the way out to Ozark and tow me home again for what that clown is asking for just a couple hours to tow to a local shop. The higher your price, the farther away I'm able to look to find a truck. Hell, the money's being spent anyway...and if it saves me, great...but I'm not paying $750/hour. If they didn't have work, they shouldn't have bought the fancy truck. There's a place just up the road from me...$375/hour minimum and his trucks are always parked at his shop because NOBODY is willing to pay him that much. Only time his trucks roll is when the cops call him, but then the person being bent over really doesn't have much choice. Get some ridiculously outrageous tow bill attached to a wrecked truck and you're more likely to get a title than money anyway, so even THAT business model doesn't make much sense. if the trailer is empty a one ton or similar wrecker can lift it... empty it doesn't require the high dollar big boys... the operator only has to get the trailer high enough to get a tractor under it.. a chain to each front corner , lift from the side, back tractor under.. unhook... a farm tractor with a loader will the same thing.. just sayin

Like Bulldog said, should be somebody close enough with reasonable rates, you can pay them extra to drive the distance and still pay less than that clown's charging. I thought a $400 call-out fee on Memorial day was bad, "No thanks, ma'am, I'll just call your competitors back"(now I know why they were backlogged six hours).
