Hi, my husband is in the interview process for walmart and he's very excited and nervous at the same time. Are there any tips you can offer for the phone interview, pretrip and road test? Any info on starting salary and benefits would be great..he's been driving for 14yrs and the last 10 have been with Fed ex, also very clean driving record...so we're keeping our fingers crossed. Thanks in advance for the info.

DOT accident = when a commercial motor vehicle is involved in an accident requiring a tow, ambulance, or coroner.
No commercial vehicle = not a DOT reportable accident.
That said, it is on your mvr so you will need to disclose it. A 3 year-old no fault accident shouldn't be a disqualifier. -
During road test Do Not throw it in neutral and coast to a stop.Automatic fail!

Well good luck, I hit a low hanging power line with the top corner of my trailer and pulled it down causing minor damages to the trailer over 7 years ago so I'm disqualified to get hired for another 3 years. I have otherwise flawless record.
-
Why would minor damage to the trailer prevent you from applying?
-
I still apply every year but I'm seen as high risk in the eyes of safety until that comes off my 10 year record.
-
Was there considerable damage to property? Did a vehicle have to be towed away?
-
The power line needed to be replaced and a police report was filed so its on my DAC.
