how bad is it right now in the oilfields

Any recommendations on companies that hire owner operators?

 

I know theyre hauling ngl oil, 2 hour waits to unload

Is basin western a pretty good company to work for? And are you talking about Hobbs NM? How's that area?

 

I hear exactly what you're saying and im having fun with one ad.It says 5 positions left hurry before they're filled ect ect.I emailed the company and asked if this is such a glamourous driving job why haven't you filled any of the positions yet.You posted 24 days ago and updated it 25 minutes ago.Be honest with me whats wrong with this job.Ill see if I received an email in a bit,lol.Im looking right now at this tanker outfit not far from me.I went there talked to the boss another driver and a couple ladies in the office.I checked out the equipment and so far can't see anything wrong.Everybody there was nice.Boss took a copy of my mvr I signed a paper giving him permission to look up my mvr record.But yes I know you really have to weed out the ads.Western and USX really glamours up their ads.

 

I just got a call yesterday, it's going to pick up again in Feb.

 

Yea its not bad, id still be there if my truck wouldnt have gotten totaled, hobbs nm, ive heard good and bad about that place , but i do not know for sure, never did haul over there, i was in the garden city area, they have picked up alot more work, their yard is in greenwood, if you need a number message me

 

All these threads keep getting hijacked. Why not start a new post asking about specifics... If I wanted to know about a specific company I'd probably post that as a new thread so people see it. Not hide it among 30 other posts that people may miss. Rant over.

Sky isn't falling in all of ND oilpatch but some some companies are going get ate up by this summer. I'd steer clear of driving for owner ops and try get on with the big guys with their OWN contracts. Craigslist.... Beware. Still lots of jobs out here for oil and water haulers. Be weary of sand/rig move/freshwater/pipe.

Oilfield goin to ####, I'm in the frac side and company has closed 2 yards, give a #### about clocking in (never seen that before) and treater can't buy us steak dinners anymore. .. if oilfield doesn't rebound this #### not worth the measly 60k/yr is gonna be next year PERIOD
