You know, the interesting thing is I have never met, spoken to, sent a private message, etc to Aminal. Nope, I don't know him at all but for whatever the reason, the story, the banter, just clicked. That little tale is all off the cuff for me. I've got more ideas to add to the story but I'm kinda waiting to see what Aminal comes up with next. If the story was a tennis match, he hit the ball to me and I hit it back to him, so in all fairness, it's his turn to add to it and see where the story goes from there.
What is sad is I'm NOT JCT, but I enjoy coming into this sub-forum. There isn't all the bickering between the JCT drivers like you see in some of the other sub-forums. I would love to sign on with JCT, but most of your runs are way outside my comfort zone. Anything West of Interstate 45 and I don't know what I'm doing. Have I been to California? Yep, 5 times in 20+ years and the last time was more than 15 years ago. With the way things change, going out there would almost be like uncharted territory all over again.
I do see the JCT trucks on I-10, I-20, and I-81 and I always wonder if it's some of the folks on this forum. One day, I'll get to meet some of you in a truckstop, a Walmart DC, or some of the various other chains of grocery warehouses in the southeast. Until then, I will just see y'all in this forum and add a little to the conversation, as appropriate.

Getting unloaded at PCC in Oakland at the moment. First time here, although been to PTS across the street a few times. For those that never had the pleasure of visiting this fine place, bring your mad driving skills...as this place is a Charlie Foxtrot of the first order.
After unload, taking a reset at the house and extinguish my flaming logbook. 4700 dispatched miles in 9 days will do that. Be safe all.MachoCyclone Thanks this. -
Had two cases of fully cooked mini hamburger patties get rejected for damaged box. Each case has about 100 patties and mini buns. OS&D said get rid of it. So, I rid of them. I will be sick of hamburgers by the time I get home next week. But, hey, free food is free food. At least, I will be fed. Haven't had a chance to grocery shop yet.
crxdc, popcorn169 and Aminal Thank this. -
LoL Treputt I was there today as well sat out there on the road for almost 3 hours. But once I get out of Lodi with a clean truck and trailer I have to go to Lemoore for cheese again. I know there was 3 of us there at PCC. That is a very tight area to get in the docks.

Yea that place is near the top of my list of nightmare locations to visit now. Guess since I got out of there with the bumpers intact, it was a success! I'm sure I'll be hauling cheese as well after my reset..as my last 3 loads out of the house have come from Lemoore.
Aminal Thanks this. -
I'm funnin' but I feel ya'. It is one of the things that attracts me so much to JCT. Camaraderie. Seriously. The driver's lounge at our only shop is quite like this forum in the friendly interaction. Hey, no place on THIS plane of existence is perfect. But this place is pretty cool. Online and in reality.
As for your feelings about out west? I posted my reply in the Cascadia 2015 OTR Performance folder. It has to do w/ my truck's performance out west - but only slightly. I just thought it was a better place for what I had to say.Last edited: Feb 3, 2015

Yeah same here either Leprino in Lemoore or Saputo in Tulare has been my last 3 or 4 loads leaving Cali. Which is fine by me, since it means not having to deal with Taylor Farms. -
Oh and if you do go to Lemoore and get 7308 you are welcome it just had a bath inside and out. And of course go figure I get an older dirty as hell trailer in return. LoL
Treputt Thanks this. -
well i just filled out an application for jct hope i hear back real soon. i figured it was a sign yesterday waking up with 3 jct trucks parked next to me and one going to the same place as me. than running into i dont know how many on the way back to my yard and ive been on the fence on applying lol hope it goes good

Aminal sitting in Van Buren. Had a two p/u going to McLane's in Riverside. Nice miles, times worked, I've had good luck w/ McLane's u/l and good loads getting out from there. Deadhead from the shop to the 1st p/u in Rogers, AK at 08:00, but the 2nd p/u was in Van Buren just a hop away at 22:00. Well, maybe the 1st will get done fast enough and I can get on down to VB soon enough that if they WON'T l/d me early I can catch a full 10 hour break and get right back on night flight. No biggie. Yup. Sure enough, they took long enough loading in Rogers and I get to VB and they WON'T l/d early (turns out to be only 16 cases for Pete's sake) and by the time I get there, there won't be enough downtime for a full 10, even though I am parked across the street (and those that know, know what I mean). I mean how long is it gonna take to throw 16 cases on? Pretty sure not 2.5 hours and it's a tight little fluster cluck, you can't stay there and the parking down the street only has room for a couple of trucks. What are the odds my spot will still be open after I get loaded? Oh well. I'll figure something out.
But now Aminal is bored. Sitting around waiting . . . and bouncing an orange tennis ball. Bounce . . . bounce . . . bounce . . . Thinking . . . hmm: Nah. Better do the right thing and say good night and try and get some sleep before the 22:00 hustle and shuffle.
