I would like info on Sygma's driver trainee program from anyone who's been through it. I'm looking at the program in Harrisburg, PA. They pay for CDL training after a few weeks going out with and helping another driver make deliveries. They want a 2 year committment after CDL school. Wondering how the company is to work for and how good the pay is both before and after cdl school. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I really dont know what is up with some of you that reply like that. There is nothing wrong with throwing freight as long as you do it properly and take care of yourself. Most of the restaurant companies have switched out to lift gates and the ramps are what really used to kill your knees. Proper back mechanics and warm up stretches (cool down too) make all the difference in the world for me. Its all about how you approach your job and then doing it correctly.
Why scare someone off? Yeah, its hard work but not impossible and most of the food delivery companies pay you very well for your time.

Thats how i got my cdl,its a lot of work but if you eat right and sleep well you should be fine.the money is really good(compared to otr noobies pay)and u still have a life.my first year i never took less than $900 home and some weeks up to$1500.had to quit cause my wife had some health issues after the first and i needed to be home at night.i recommended sygma to all my freinds, put in your two years and you'll save enough money to buy a decent truck.i did Nyc stores and upstate ny in winter and im only a 150 pound guy.just make sure you team up with the right guy, someone who wanna get work done.

    PPan Thanks this.

yes he will start seeing that money once his trainer decides he can be on his own.sygma pay structure guarantees that he will make money.23 cpm $10 a stop and i forgot how much per 1000 lbs, this was back in 2004.lot of times they call me at home to repower a load and still get paid for the whole run even if its just one stop left.im not saying its a career job but its the best option gor a new guy in trucking.
