My heap is in the shop.
I'm in a loaner heap that has an apu. Carrier Comfort Pro. Never messed with one of these. Always had an inverter myself and weren't waiting 6 hours in 12 degrees for my turn n burn partner.
Apu starts then says engine run check and shuts off. Any ideas?

Barring that, anyone know how to keep a freightshaker idling when tractor brake and clutch don't work? Just trying to stay warm.

    Thanks guys!

Check the oil in apu. They have a low oil switch.

These new Trucks can be set not to let you idle.
In some cases it's also tied into a Temp Sensor and it might let you idle at or below a certain temp.

Especially if you have an APU.

Does it display anything after it shuts off ?

The Manual has a Troubleshooting Section

Just says "please wait engine run check" then rolls back over to say "restarting". Over and over it will restart itself. No error code.

In my Freightshaker if I set the cruise control it will idle without shutting down. Maybe try that?

I don't know what it could be.
There really isn't much you can do yourself really.

Check Oil, belts, fuses and other obvious easy things.
If it's not any of that think you're just going to have to get it looked at.

And hyweighman had it in one. Fluids are low or alternator feedback. According to the manual Balakov100 posted.

Thanks gents. Dont have the right kind of oil handy in this lot in the middle of nowhere, ND. Awesome. :(
