I believe it was the 80's, may have been in the 70's, boss man batch of Michelin tries to run on front axles. A week later one of them blew out. The tire man came and boss showed the tire to him. He said no warranty, the driver drove this tire down the road uninflated.

Boss man said, "Of course he did, he was going down the interstate when it blew out and he could not stop on a dime."

Tire man said, "Sorry, no warranty."

Boss told him to be there on a certain day and he would have all the Michelin tires there and he would pick them up and give a complete refund.

Tire man said, "No, I can't do it."

Boss man picked him up by his shirt collar holding him against the shop wall them asked. "Do you want a beating, or will you promise to be here pick up those tires and give me a refund?"

The tire man said, "Yes sir, I will be here," and he was.

I later talked to the driver who had the blow out, he said, "The tire went boom [Very Loud} and he was going about 70 MPH and he had a hard time holding it out the road until he got stopped on the shoulder of I-20." It completely shredded the right front fender on that conventional KW.

    From my Research:

    Michelin XZA3+ for long life
Michelin XZA2 energy for excellent rolling resistance
Kumho KLT02e for even better rolling resistance, lower initial cost, but shorter life

Thanks all for your comments. And how do I determine the size? Close to me 295/60 / 22.5 or 295/80 / 22.5 Which suited to the front wheels? Has anyone tried X® MULTIWAY 3D XZE?

I'm sure we got 100% of the facts on this story. Back to the real world. I got @ 200K on my Michelin XZA3 steers, and they came with the truck and had a few miles when I got them. Tire specialists say the biggest factor in tire safety and longevity is tire pressure, and I'm very careful with tire pressures. I run 100psi cold inflation in all tires. I bought 2 new steers, new front shocks from FTLR (my Coronado happens to be a FTLR) and a 3-axle alignment, $1,100, and I'm looking to run over 200K on this set. I think they're awesome tires. Even if OHB is giving us the full honest facts, one bad deal/dealer doesn't make a major difference overall. BTW, took a load from Cincinatti to Laredo - tire pressures increased about 12psi cold pressure. Elevation and temperature make a huge difference in pressure. Like, the Patriots are innocent.
