Easy day today. Drove about 4 hours through Dallas/Ft. Worth early this Sunday morning and up to my delivery in Ardmore, OK. Then parked for the day at the Loves in Ardmore. Watching the Superbowl now. There was some snow that went through Denver the past few days. I'm hoping they have that stuff scraped off the roads by the time I get there Tuesday afternoon.

OK, I'm posting my settlement. I'm not posting financial stuff here on TTR, but I will post all my settlements and link to them.

Getting unloaded and cruising the load board. Freight seems really cheap right now, pretty much everywhere. I know fuel prices are down, but wow, working for nothing it seems. I'm going home for five days, and I'm lined up through my first few loads out of the house, going to wait and hope the board looks better when I'm on the road again. I sure am glad I don't have a huge truck payment etc!

Yeah I know what you mean. That's the reason now I'm considering Lone Mountain when my lease is up in May. Just weighing my options and the monthly payment vs weekly is looking a little more attractive.skyviper73 Thanks this.

I had always said the choice program works great with a low or no truck payment. If i had a big truck payment, i would not be leased on to SNI. Just my .02

Hey you shoulnt have a problem gettin a loan from LM. All you have to do is show your settlements.Drifter42 and skyviper73 Thank this.

Smart move. You'll have no issue getting a truck through LM. One great thing about having done a lease through SFI at around $1100/wk is that you've shown that you can make it work with that huge weekly payment. When I applied for the loan at my credit union for my T600 I showed them my settlements and how much I was paying weekly, etc., and talked about what my expenses would be like after I was no longer leasing, and especially since I had almost no credit history this was HUGE in being able to show them that and get approved.
It also won't lock you in to pulling for SNI. I believe the only road block some people have been running into when trying to get a truck from LM is when they don't want to lease on to a carrier, but don't have any experience running with their own authority and want to jump straight into that. Was reading about that here on the forum.Drifter42 Thanks this. -
I'm considering elsewhere as well. SFI has been great to me even though expensive but it's the SNI and the cheaper ratest that have me considering elsewhere.
Drifter42 Thanks this. -
Totally agree. SFI has been good to me as well and the choice board has been good to, I just hope the rates go back up in the near future. There are still some excellent rates out there, but you have to dig harder and click assign faster.TennMan Thanks this.
