Yeah I'm just trying to be optimistic. The accident was in Atlanta so afterwards I drove straight to the house in Asheville, NC and parked it for a few days. Finally dropped in DE yesterday and I'm bringing a load of trailers from pittston to Springfield. It's been a lot more nerve wracking then usual. So I cinched the saddle up and drove on. We'll see how I feel after a few weeks off.

I'll let y'all know how much if any I get from the equipment though. I left about half at the house just in case I don't get much for it at least I'll have that to sell for a bit more then what prime would give me for it.

Also if I see my last check 2800ish miles so it should be decent.

I don't think I made out that bad, but if you think you can sell it on your own you'll likely get more back.

I still owed on my flatbed gear, plus had to pay pro-rated tuition for leaving before my contract was up and I made out with like $1300 after taxes. And I think I had less than 1000 miles on my last settlement..

Good to hear. All my gear is paid off but I have 10 chains, 10 binders, and about 15-20 straps at the house with some other stuff. But the tarps, 10 chains and binders with all the edge protectors and all the necessary crap is on the truck right now. Do they send you a check later for the gear or with your last pay check?

It should be on your final settlement... by whatever method you choose to be paid.

Thank you sir. I honestly can't say I've ever felt bad for quitting a job before now.

Zach, I survived a rollover almost exactly a year ago. I know what you mean about being rattled.

Just keep calm and drive on, anxiety fades with repetition.

You probably won't get anything for most of your straps, so its good you left them at home. Bungees, forget it. As long as the edge protectors aren't cracked they'll take them.

You'll get paid the same as any other week.

Yeah I understand that. But I didn't survive 2 tours in Iraq to get killed in a truck here. I'm keeping my options open though. After being disrespected and being called a quitter by the fat tub of lard upstairs in equipment turn in I've decided I'm probably not coming back. My fleet manager is really a great guy. The guy told me he might maybe get to my equipment next week and to not hold my breath on getting anything back for it. So we'll see. I'm not worried about getting anything back that's why I didn't take it with me when I left but some professionalism and respect would be great but like most things in this country you can toss that out the window.

I'll keep y'all informed as to if I get anything back though.
