Man. I keep seeing these big crashes in the news and wondering which ones I'd encounter if I was still running OTR right now. I feel bad for everyone who got caught by this one.

[The crash was weather-related... police said.]

Because no one knows less about motor vehicle operation, and no organized group is more practiced at making the correlation = causation error in logical thinking than cops.

Apparently, they can not see beyond the mountain of evidence to the contrary: Somehow... the vast majority of preceding motorists passing the exact same spot on the planet, at about the same time, managed to not crash because of "the weather", and those approaching this crash did not join this crash.
    Boggles the mind.

That stretch of I-81 is pure hell. It's only a few miles east of Lake Ontario and it snows so hard you literally are driving by feeling the rumble strip. All it takes is one person to stop and it's game on.

Ran with a couple "lake effect" regulars one night EB on I-90 east of Erie PA....we were using the rumble strips to determine where we were. Interesting and crazy all at the same time. Luckily it was 2am and traffic was near nothing.
