Respectfully speaking, sending me home is not a pat on the back, I can assure you. It can only be a termination of employment. He was playing the safety card, which everyone knew I wasn't a safety risk at all. There was approximately 9 other people that witnessed it. The instructor even threatened others that if he got us on the wrestling mat. We would be praying that we survive. I have already contacted a lawyer about it.

So I've started out with usx as my first company. I am required to do 170 hours BTW to upgrade. I am on week 3 with only 40 hours. My question is apparently they have another account closer to my home that is home daily can I switch accounts while in training? Also my trainer seems to be dragging his ###. Like he is in no rush to get me off his truck when I've told him I'm here to train and move on.

If you know the mega carriers are bad, why not try other options like smaller carriers or CDL jobs like those tied to railroad, airfield or military contractor support? My first driving job was with a railroad support contractor. I did a lot more with that company than I would've done in three months with a mega carrier.

Your story is a very common one. They are mostly all liars and cheats. Talk big about their safety culture, and then do the opposite. You and others like us believe in a honest days pay for an honest days work. That your word is your bond. Many see this as a weakness, that it does not matter how you got it, only that you got it. Try a local or regional company, get some confidence and miles, talk to Drivers at fuel stop or on this forum. You will find a good fit. OTR is a crappy deal, unless you fall in with like minded people. Good luck.
