Both companies have excellent equipment but neither is local and I must have local work so I can care for my dad and if he gets too sick I don't wanna be on the other side of the map.I wanna get home that day not a week or 2 later. But thanks just the same for the suggestions.

I'm alittle concerned about that test but not the others.I'm really hoping this LTL company calls me.The guy I spoke with said they are having trouble finding drivers because of their MVR.so hopefully he calls.Today the app went thru the manager and then gets sent to Illinois for approval then they call the driver.

Good luck with this, and just a thought, if it doesn't work out, those companies like Van Wyk and the others have short haul stuff that might get you up and back home often. The local guys when I worked out of Waterloo got paid hourly to move trailers and take stuff to and from the yard.

They got paid lots better than we did for doing the live loads.

Ive heard good things about Van Wyk and it may be considered in the near future.I really want local but pretty soon I may think about a dedicated route.I'm going to apply at Conway for a local position. They require a doubles endorsement and that won't be a problem getting if they hire me.

It would probably be Chicago, although the last one I saw was booking it through the Hubbard Tunnel on the Kennedy, I haven't been near one unloading since before the sausage plant off Adams Street(in the 'hood'), shut down and changed hands.

I'd like to get to Floriduh, by truck, just once.:biggrin_25523:
