The "road" back ( no pun intended)

After being off the road since the end of March of last year, I am trying to make a return. Before the bashing starts, I stayed at home to make sure my elderly mother was taken care of. Now my brother and his wife are moving back into the area ( his retirement), so they will be here to keep an eye on her. I have kinda found out the hard way that it's gonna be a long way back. I read on here people bashing companies right and left,(starter companies/second chance companies) just saying that some people who drive for those companies are not criminals, have bad driving records or drug problems, some of us just have no where else to go. 18 yrs, no accidents, no tickets (outside of a weight ticket now and then LOL), and I find myself in this position.

 

Thx. I know this is a quick update. Joined the forum a month ago and just remembered my login info last night (LOL). Got an invite to an orientation, Can't really find anything bad on the company, so i hope this is the way back.

 

Thx again. I do have an affirmative orientation date for Monday with one company, waiting to hear back from another one. I am going to withhold the names of the companies just to be on the safe side ( as my dad always told me " don't go borrowing trouble"). And as far as being bashed, I was just saying that people always get the wrong idea about why I took time off so I tried to explain it first. I do have a fall back plan in place. Thx again guys
