I have 16.5 months of experience. Clean record except one preventable, which is bs, ran over a gator and knocked fitting off air line, company ruled preventable, no cops, and overweight ticket. Have had two jobs in this span of time. Not getting the money I want, but know its out there, so here is what I am looking for: 1,000 per week (hopefully guarnteed, but if not like to clear that most weeks), trucks with 10 speeds, passenger policy and no sleep tests. Hometime dont matter much. Any ideas????

Well, I've been out of the job market for too many years I guess. But good luck on your desired salary as a starting wage. As far as the trucks with 10 speeds is concerned, there is no reason at all to limit yourself there. Sure, they are easy to drive, but so are all the others, once you make friends with them.
Passenger policy and sleep tests, you'll need to check with any prospective company about. But it just might raise a red flag to an employer if asking about a sleep test in the interview. (What is your problem? What are you trying to avoid? etc etc etc.) Perhaps a better way to put it would be something like, "if a sleep test is required, who pays for it." If they say "YOU DO," well, you can walk out the same door you walked in.
I don't see a problem with your so called "preventable," which as you say is BS. It isn't even an accident, it is an incident. Overweight ticket shouldn't be a problem. And while 16 1/2 months experience isn't a whole lot, I would think that most outfits would be interested in you.

You don't need 2 years for local work. Sure any company will familiarize you with the equipment.
Holland is hiring & it's day cabs/dry van. Here's some info:

Which is better option in your opinion Old Dominion or Holland
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Old Dominion because they're not union.
Actually both are good companies.
I worked for YRC Logistics, non-union, which is under the umbrella company Holland is under. I worked the extra-board and made a grand a week or more. Refused to bid on any runs because I was making more running extra-board.
You should make much more than I did with either Holland or Old Dominion.crappiejunkie Thanks this. -
Thanks Chinatown I knew I could count on you.
