Frankly I would like to ask the troll here, if every time that you where with a company that your truck was broke down and you had to do what they said would you be filling out applications just to go somewhere else every time. If your truck was broke down in 1 year for 3 times would you be changing jobs??? I am very curious.

I'm not trolling. I've been following Doc from the beginning and see a lot of the crap he's put up with. He seems to constantly be sitting for one thing or another and they don't fix the problems that need to be fixed. He's put his time in and there are better jobs out there that he qualifies for. I'm not knocking Swift by saying that...it's just a fact. You can kindly read anything I post here and see the last thing I ever do is troll.

He he deserves better for his loyalty. The end

Also. I've worked for 3 companies in 8 years. So the last thing I do is job hop. (3 years as a leased on as O/O at current job)

Some of it is me just being cranky, some of it warranted and some of it just me.

I've thought about changing companies in the past, not recently, but overall I've learned the Swift system and I'm learning how to use it to my advantage. Every once in a while something like this comes up that is mostly out of my control but its not too often. The thing with this truck is that its mostly the AC issue but otherwise the truck has worked good. Granted its only been a month but this is only my 3 truck with Swift in 2 years. I'm one of the lucky Ines as I've heard and read horror stories of drivers with trucks with serious problems. My first truck was traded in on mileage but it had a few problems. Second truck I traded in when I left for vacation. Then I got this one late December. The AC issue has been universal with all of them.

Not to say I will stay with Swift forever but for now I'm going to. My work history for the previous 5 years was crap before driving for Swift - unemployed, underemployed and self employed. A mark against me. So for now I just need to be consistent at one company for a while, clean up my work history and try to reach this goal of becoming platinum.

Things could change in the more distant future but for now I'm here.

Just got word as i am sitting in the Jake Brake that my truck is done. Recall parts were fixed or replaced. Keeping my fingers crossed that its actually done this time. If it is hope I can get something to carry me thru the weekend.

"Something like this" is going to happen wherever you go to work. It's not something you can avoid, so understanding and using a system to your benefit, no matter what anyone else thinks of the employer or the system, is a very good thing. It happened to me and I don't listen to the many naysayers against me. You shouldn't either.

No I try not to. I figure no matter what happens it could always be worse.

Speaking of worse Im in my truck back in line. Went to claim my truck, started it and the wipers and washers are stuck on. Only way to shut them off is yo shut the truck off. This is turning out to be a rough week.

If suggesting he has been loyal and thinking he deserves better is being a naysayer than I guess my definition is off. Doc has explained himself well and it works for him. As long as he's ok with it..then it's all good. But I also think he sometimes doesn't give himself enough credit and realize he IS qualified for better opportunities.

    Where do you work?
    Are they hiring?
    What do they pay?
What have your paychecks been the last 4 weeks?
What if you like your current situation?
It's all relative to everything else in life
