What are some of the pros and cons of a comdata card as opposed to regular direct deposit into my personal bank account?

Com data you get your money on Friday, but there are some fees involved with ATM's, balance checks, etc. I would recommend calling com data and getting specific info on all they charge for. I'm cheap, lol, I just direct deposit. A lot of people split it up, you can have part on com data and the rest direct deposited. Whatever works best for you. Do call and ask about hidden charges from com data, they can add up quick and are in addition to any other fees, ATM, etc. Hope that helped. If you need the com data number let me know

Comdata you will either have to get your money from a ATM, which charges you a fee. Write a com check and cash, also a fee unless you pump a certain amount of fuel. Or use it at Walmart and get cash back, no fee
Direct deposits pretty self explanatory. -
Beat me to it.lol

WELL.. my comdata.. if I want money I can go to the truckstop "& get money without paying a fee. kind of. I use my points to pay the fee, so no out of pocket cost. I rack up 40,50,000 points easily. I am home daily but run the miles, so my points build up & do not use that much of them. although now I do not get any money from comdata, cause I am doing something different, but could any time.

Good point, the problem is that com data has other fees they charge over and above what the truck stops, ATM's, etc. Charge. That's why I recommended he call and get accurate info from them regarding fees.

If you direct deposit into your bank and have a debt card...why would you want to put it on a commdata card anyway?
