Andy? You need to get the hell outta there! Please don't take this the wrong way........ but You need to grow a pair. Your owner is laughing at you all the way to the bank.
You are worth more than that!
Good luck to you & keep us informed. -
This gives a sort of national average on wages for various dispatcher positions http://www.indeed.com/salary/Dispatcher.html

I appreciate your honesty and I'm not taking it the wrong way because you're absolutely rite... I actually had a conversation with him about the situation and he basically told me I should be happy with what I got lol and he is laughing his way to the bank cause he knows rite now I need this job so for him it's a leverage thing but I'm looking for another dispatching job and when I find it I'm gone and I know he's going to regret it because I run his business for him, I only talk to him once a week and it's only to talk about how the week went, confirming work orders, make sure he got all my emails etc...

So, what do you think you should be paid for the work that you are doing? After you figure that out, look for another job and, when you find it, tell your current employer what he has to pay to keep you. If he says no, then take the new job. If he says ok, then you at least have a choice. IDK anything about dispatching, so my advice is probably worth about what it cost you. lol
BrenYoda883 Thanks this. -
You're wasting your time attempting to reason with someone like that. Go find another job. Period.
You can take home more each week if you go get a part-time job at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. He pays you jack ****. I'm at a complete loss as to how that gives him any kind of leverage.BrenYoda883 and Cetane+ Thank this. -
I believe I should be getting paid what is fare not 200/350 for 24/7/365, alot of companies have dispatchers and over night dispatchers... I'm a one man army and I'm not asking to get rich but I work hard, I take this really serious and put my all for the drivers I work for...
-
You're putting too much thought into this. You're working for an #####****. He's not going to fairly compensate you. You can either go to him with your tail between your legs begging for a raise (I say begging, because what he's paying you now is not even in the ballpark)...or you can go find something else to do.
Unless you've got a significant rap sheet...it shouldn't be very hard to find a job making more than you are at the moment. -
I understand what you're saying but I love what do and not to blow my own horn but I'm good at what I do, unfortunately it is what it is rite now

It sounds like you've made your decision. Stick around and work for peanuts until your perfect dispatching job pops up.
