I won't do a Prime lease. No way. I also wouldn't do a lease anywhere else. They're not designed for a regular joe to succeed. When a driver does succeed, it's not because of the way the lease is set up. It's because the driver knew what the hell he was doing and was determined to do it. All leases suck. Even the good ones. It's hard, it's a big commitment on a driver's part to make payments on this truck and hoping that the company allows them to do it. I have a friend doing a JCT lease right now. in his 3rd year. Doing good. It takes a ###### good driver to be able to pull off a lease purchase. Hats off the the guys who do.
Prime's lease deal. The math gets done.

"Hey there brother "Ironpony
We need your insight on leasing programs, I think you would be a great OP on a subject like :all the ins & outs of leasing, things to watch out for in bad contracts,... you know this kind of stuff so you I think you would be a great help for other guys that are going this route.... You know as well as I that alot of guys can get financially destroyed in these deals ,.... if they have access to some good sound advice & tactics in this ball game, it would be a good thing to have..... I hate to see young drivers get burned but I can't do anything to help but I know you can and not only that but other lease drivers would jump in and give some good pointers also.... Just saying

Well For those people that say leasing doesnt make since your right it doesnt make since, but if I had good credit I would purchase a truck then drive for a company as an O/O, but I dont have good credit, so I`m stuck asking myself is it worth it to try to lease with a company? Like all of you I see guys succeeding and failing.
I can run a business, I`ve done it before, I know what it takes, But I am Leary of these leases, it is scary to take the plunge -
Some dont have the choice and have to take the extra risk because they have bad credit
-
Thats really the bottom line right there
-
IRONPONY just got logical on us up in here... dang,
-
How do you do it with out all your eggs in one basket?
-
And many of those people fail, because they don't have the credit, or some sort of backup plan, should things go awry. You always have the choice. If you don't have the financial means to get a truck on your own, save up the money til you do. But no one these days has patience, they want it all, and want it now. And they think the L/P is the way to do it.TB John Thanks this.

By NOT doing a L/P with the same people that hold the reigns WRT dispatches. You don't see a problem there?
