Oh hell yeah, you're still a kid yet. (No insult intended there.) For some reason I thought you were one of us old coots. OTOH, as I posted, you STILL AIN'T GETTIN' ANY YOUNGER!:biggrin_2559:

But for most people, once they get on the CPAP, they stay on it. Maybe you won't have to. Or maybe you will feel so darn much better that you'd break someone's head if they tried to take it away from you. Time will tell.

I was one of those who got on the machine and I refuse to go a night without it, the doctor said because I had it for years it will take years for my body to get all caught up since the body after time will "store" those lost sleepless hours, I have been on my machine for over 2 years so far and I have been able to lose weight since then as well which does help but wont really cure it if you have a severe case like myself but will make sleeping better over time. We will see how I do once I lose the last 50 lbs I really want to lose, I never considered the idea of ever even being cured from it since I had most of the symptoms even when I was fit years ago but I do wish I would of known about it back then and got tested, maybe these days would be even better. They usually want you to use it at least 4 hours a night, I use mine the entire time I sleep even for a nap.

I agree its BS I was diagnosed with it in 07 I also weighed 292 lbs I dont drink or smoke I just ate. I dropped 75 lbs and no more sleep apnea. However when I was diagnosed NOBODY reccomended I lose the weight I was automatically given a CPAP and supplies. The supplies were billed thru my insurance. I got a hold of the price list Clear tubing billed at 12 bux a ft A mask 60 dollars A foam filter about the size of a Cigarette butt was 35. Its all a scam
