What part of Texas do you live?

I'm moving near Dallas... that's where most of the jobs seem to be... or Houston. I still have 3 more months of truck driving school. Downside of going to a 4 month schools vs a 4 week school is that companies don't care about the difference, both candidates will spend 2 months in the cab training.
Chewbongka and Chinatown Thank this. -
Hair test? Why would they care if you are losing or keeping your hair or if turning gray (like mine *sigh*) I would not work for a company that would be so petty as to care what color or how much hair I have.

Whatever company you choose, good luck to you.

Dartco, Inc will hire you for dry van, but those tanker companies are better.

Does anyone know which companies will hire you if you were terminated from your last job? (Job was construction, not driving related) spotless employment record other than this for 22 years. Have had cdl a for eight years, but no recent drving experience. Live in nc, but looking anywhere. Thanks in advance.

You said you just have CDL school and no road experience. How long has it been since school? Most will not take you without a refresher if more than 6 months have passed since school. Which in many if not most cases is an added expense. So if you can find a non-training company to take you, jump on it.

Yea, im gonna have to go through the student program according to the co. Ive talked to, which isnt a problem. Just havent been able to find one yet that will accept the termination from a construction job. The rest of the applications went through fine with the two co. Ive talked to.
