Started my career in the Carnival business (think county and state fairs) moving their equipment. I am with my present company for just under 10 months, my previous company just under 9 months. In the carnival business that's two full seasons, for the most part.
I am skilled in tight maneuvers, precision backing (although I am not perfect), and have driven 50k miles accident-free.
I'm looking for a company that:
-Hauls dry van, reefer, flatbed, or container out of port (although I have no experience with container loading)
-Will accept felonies over 7 years old without prejudice
-Will value the fact that I met the requirements, was approved for and received a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identity Credential) and am therefore eligible for Hazmat endorsement.
-Recognizes that my experience working at a Carnival Amusement company is extremely relevant, as I drove OTR, and performed maneuvers in a 53' tractor-trailer combination that most average truck drivers do not perform on a daily basis. (i.e., extremely tight maneuvers in small parking lots meant for cars, through narrow gates, precision backing loads onto an exact location). These maneuvers have made me a very experienced and knowledgeable driver.
-Can offer direct deposit
-requires e-logs, or expects drivers to run 100% legal at all times, and takes driver's side on safety-related decisions.
I'm not picky, I'm just looking for a company that cares, is able to recognize experience even though it comes from unconventional trucking companies, and won't judge me by my past.
Thanks.
I can be contacted at 561-246-1788 anytime, or via email at mjfreespirit@gmail.com

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
TWIC Card, 2 years exp. specialized hauling, doubles, overweight
