Love the beer and garden hose idea. I have had my headliner dropped due to a clearance light leak, but I silicone it up. I guess I'm going to have to spend a day or two getting aggravated until I find the leak. Goes right into the dash and fuse box on the driver's side, just perfect.

If I were you I would remove the headliner and leave it home. Use the truck and if it rains or snows (and melts on the roof) I would be able to pinpoint the leak and plan how to fix it. This way you could locate the leak while you are working, making money and, when you get home you can fix it for good and put the headliner up one last time.

And here is another possibility I became aware of whilst inquiring about why my windshields "squeak". Aftermarket windshield seals do not allow the proper flex that was designed into the truck originally. Most places installing these aftermarket seals will inevitably use silicone to seal the subpar gaskets and after the flexing which is accounted for in the OEM seals breaks down the silicone, it leaks. This leak appears as puddles on the floorboards with no signs of where it came in.

i will lay money on its coming in around the top of the windshields! remove kick panel under steering wheel and fuse panel and have someone spray water on top of glass and watch it pour in on air psi sending units and fuse panel yes you will have to remove the drop visor to seal glass takes an hour or so

I believe you are correct indeed. Looked at it yesterday and Saturday. After having the glass replaced twice by Peterbilt and once elsewhere, I think it's still leaking. To bad the glass installers can't seem to get it right. I think I am going to do just what you're saying. Tired of wasting dollars on lousy installations. Thanks for the reply. Be safe.

Little trick I came up with to stop clearance lite leaks forever. Silicone in pcv tubing in the gasket sticking up 1/2 inch. View attachment 79643

2004 379 - 4 days ago water would drop on my head while driving. The next day it cleared up and I went to everybody favorite - Depot and purchased "Leak Seal" in a spray can, made by a certain unnamed company. Cleaned then sprayed the bases of the horns and re-alpplied a couple of times in an hour. .... It's been raining for the last 3 days here in San Antonio. No more leaks. I was impressed.

I have a 2017 Pete model 389. I was wondering if any one else was having trouble with water leaking in the floor.
