Dont ever drive for USA truck

That video you posted freightwipper reminds me of that video from Canada with that woman in a BMW who did everything but what she should have done to correct the issue. As far as that goes this is a reason the industry is hurting nowadays because instead of paying attention and using caution many younger drivers just try to take the quick and easy route instead of thinking it through whether it is from a lack of experience and or lack of intelligence. I hate when I ask one of drivers if they referenced their map and they tell me no because they only have GPS and no map, my response is usually what kind of truck driver does not own a map? Seems like that guy could have probably taken a few different avenues out of that, heck the sign said 13'0 he may been able to drop his air bags to gain that extra 6 inches and nurse under it but then again I would never have suggested that to someone just a random thought.

 

Nah, Actually the trucking industry would be better if more drivers sued their companies. Forces them to play fair at risk of lawsuits and public exposure, especially with social media.

 

And I have beat that drum until I'm half deaf...... motor carriers are all over social media trying to put out a good image . If they shaft you then trash them on social media for all to see including their customers.

It's time to turn the tables and now we have the tools.
