Warranty will be hard to use then...

RM does not set the policy for any brick and mortar store or any online retailers except our RM Store. What they set is their policy and not RM's.


I am sorry the screen went out on you. IF you exceed TA's return policy, talk to the manager and if they will not then contact RM customer support.

Yeah I know, was a post in anger, and I know the return policy isn't rand's to set, was just a last straw kinda a morning, the ta clerks attitude certainly didn't help either

 

didn't read this thread in full but I bought this rand mc. tablet and it has quit 3 times in 200 miles
maybe to complicated for me but been running a 760 for 3 years and it was ok
not happy at all

 

Mine has done it a few times too not sure if they have an update out yet to fix it but here's what I do to fix. open apps and kill the gps app. Restart it. Goto history for your last destination. Don't click continue previous route sometimes it will just lock up again instead just hit accept and redo the route. I'm sure it will be addressed in the first update so until then I just deal with it

My gps will just freeze up. I'll notice the miles aren't counting down anymore. The only way I've been able to fix is either restart or the way I explained above. Like I said though for some reason if you hit continue route instead of accept it will calculate your route but that's it like it it's like the screen freezes. I usually just kill app and restart because reboot time takes longer. Oh and it's done this about a dozen times atleast in the last 2 or 3 weeks

 

This might be the same issue as with 3922 on the TND. Go to Preferences/Route/Junction View Distance - toggle left to off.

This has been fixed, but not released yet. It is in QA.

It seems that they have moved it to market to claim "first" but have not finished debugging the device.

RM cannot make the claim as being the first tablet for truckers since other companies have tablets with gps for truckers out there way before RM did.

 

The issue was found after the version to the tablet/TND was already released. With millions of lines of code, things do happen. I have yet to see any software no matter what it is on that is perfect.

First problem was it will not calculate any ad as vias no matter the stop it just goes to the original setting,
I reset the device several times same thing and wont even come up as history or recent dest.
Not only that but when I connected it to my laptop to install rand McNally docks it connects but only get a screen which shows tnd80 internal storage BS
Next it will not connect to my wifi but this I hear is a security setting problem that is with virgin mobile and no big deal
my wife has a tablet and I already have a camera so quess I should have got the simple 720 again like I had
now wondering the return policy would be as I bought mine at a Sapp Bros. truck stop in NE
there are more issues with it also but I don't want to write a book here
biggest two problems
It is all but junk without the memory of previous routes and add as via as you have to put find and put the same address in it each single trip
no Rand McNally dock to hook to, to update or fix problems
note it sticks on the searching mode for hours until you delete previous routes then it will do one at a time
