Good luck rookie driver, I am just back from my first day of orientation at dart in Louisville / Sellersburg IN. So far so good, after 24 years of driving other people's Trucks, I am buying my own thru Dart.

Thank you. Congrats to you MrPugs. I would be interested in following your experience with owning.
I am embarrassed to say but I failed my test last week. I aced my pretrip and backing maneuvers but I drove too slow threw the closed course. I was anticipating the next request from the examiner too much. I am rescheduled to test again this Thursday. -
No need to be embarrassed. Good luck with the next test.

Took my retest today. Passed with only 2 points taken off for blinker and clutch. Made me feel pretty good. Now I am set up to either head to Georgia on Sunday or wait a week to do orientation here in Minnesota.
popcorn169 Thanks this. -
Dart has gotten me my airfare and hotel set up for me for Georgia. I head out tomorrow. Orientation will be Monday threw Thursday. There is a chance that I will be set up with a trainer down there but I am hoping they let me come home to Minnesota to train. I do need to be home on the 14th and they have promised me that I will.

Try to convince tgem in to let you do it in Mn. Buford is not very good for orientation.

Got to my hotel in Buford last night about 11pm. Flight shuttle and hotel paid for by Dart. First day of orientation was today. The shuttle picked us up this morning between 6:30 & 7. There was about 10 of us in the hotel so the shuttle had to make 2 trips. this morning was about going threw the handbook and physicals for the people that haven't had a Dart physical done yet. There were 3 of us that had it done in Eagan that didn't have to redo it today. The three of us that didn't need the physical went for individual drives with the instructor. I think it was for him to see how our abilitys are. Class was pretty laid back. So far it has been a realy good experience. I guess ill see how things go tomorrow.
popcorn169 and rjgcape Thank this. -
Not to try to make this any type of commercial but simple gratitude, I think I need to give thanks to Jim at Heavy Metal Truck Training, the school I went to. Him and the school did everthing they could to help make me a good driver.
Puppage and Waggledaddy Thank this. -
