Got a new TND 730, after being out on the road teaming with other drivers using the TND 720 and the Garmin Dezl. I downloaded the User Guide, but didn't find answers to a few questions:
1) I do long haul team driving. As I understand it, the "Team Driving" mode just has to do with monitoring driver hours of service, etc. We have an e-log device on the truck, so don't need to use this function. However, what I am wondering is if there is any way possible ) or maybe expanding the Team Driver functionality) to save individual preferences for each driver? (Like how MS Windows has separate User Accounts for different people using the same PC.) I've had two different co-drivers that were not the types to download or read User Guides; therefore they totally under-used the features on the TND. They ran the maps in the 3D mode with them zoomed way in, which made me feel like I was driving with blinders on. I prefer "North-Up" mode, and zoomed back a bit to have an idea where I am. I would reset it to my preferences, but they were totally uncomfortable getting into preferences and changing settings. And since the units were theirs, they didn't want me changing anything either. I'm sure there could be other examples of teaming drivers having different preferences. It would be nice to just toggle the unit between "Driver 1" and "Driver 2" and have the individual preferences retained separately. Just to be sure, there is currently not a way to do this, is there?
2) ETA calculation and adjustment: I drive a truck governed at 65 mph on long hauls. On a previous GPS, I experienced us losing a lot of time when in an 80 mph speed limit area, as the truck was only able to do 65 mph. On the other hand, when you hit CA you are in 55 mph speed limits for trucks. Is there a way for the TND 730 to take into account not only the speed limits for calculating ETAs, but also the truck's maximum governed speed? How does it calculate ETA presently?

Sometimes the USB/DC will show the rated current but will not provide. I tried a 2.4amp USB/DC for the tablet and it would not keep the tablet 100%.
Thanks,

#2 = Preferences/Route/ETA adjustment
ETA is based upon posted speed limits/Your speed/Lat/Long distance.

Another question for you Mark, on the TND 730:
I do long-haul (often coast-coast) team driving. When I start a shift, it's nice to have a plan for a place to stop for the mandatory break at 8 hours. Likewise, it is nice to plan a convenient place to make a driver change at shift-end. I know the 730 can search for POI's along the intended route. Is there a way to specify that search at a specified point along the route? For example: "Show me the trucks stops along my route, approximately 300 miles from my current position." -Or- "Show me the trucks stops along my route, approximately 4 hours from my current position." -
When you search the poi along your route it also shows the milage to each one directly beside it
