In less than 24 hours my truck will have a visectomy.
I have to go to the Volvo dealer in Erie and have it turned down. Mainly because I have that egr issue I need to get checked before road check. NY likes to stick a sensor in your exaust to check it. If you are dirty you get a ticket.

So, I will stop and have it done. My Driver manager has his boss down his neck on it. I am the last Kraft truck not done, and they want it done by the end of the week.

I am not in an 08. I am in truck number 62143. It is an 06.
My last truck was 22981, an 05. It had a few issues, but it was White. I dont like the black trucks, they have to idle more because they get hot fast in the sun.
I made it 3 months with 0.00 over idle though. Will change after this week.

 

Awwwwwwwwww I was betting you would make it until the end of June! Are you sure you can't avoid it until the end of next month LOL. We were all rooting for ya to (shakes head)

 

So after much research and reading this forum I am making the commitment to the trucker life. I will be heading to the SLC academy for the June 9th classes. I have gained tons of info from you guys on here so I wanted to take the time to says THANKS to all who posted their thoughts about Central. I look forward to possibly meeting some of you on the road.

 

I am glad we could help out. alot of people want info on perspective companies they are looking at and sometimes it's hard to get it. Thanks to This Forum it helps past, Present, And future Drivers get info and express our thoughts and opinions. So if you are reading this mods thanks for the wonderful website. KillerB a good thing about where you are from is its on a major freight lane and it should be easy for you to get hometime like jess and i.



6pak4-two, I will give you a shout when i get close and like wise for all the others. If we are on hometime and if any of you all happen to be in the boise, ID area give us a shout and we will hook you up with a good meal, hot shower and a comfortable bed to sleep in if you have the time.

 

OK i delivered my load yesterday in Tobyhanna, PA at the wal mart d/c. It is now my favorite Wal Mart D/C to deliver to. they were really nice, had my load off in a timely manner and even brought my trailer to me when they were finished talk about personal service. they even had no lumper fees. The only thing i guess that could have made the experience better is bringing me dinner and a movie and topping off the fuel tanks. I told my Fleet Manager that they could send me here anytime.

KillerB, Welcome to both the forum and this thread. My training starts next Monday 02 June at West Valley City, so, will see you there. I have just been through the research & decision making process as well, .... isn't it nice to be able to check those two items off the list and move on ??
