Go ahead and poke fun at California, the truth is idling is 1) a huge waste of money and 2) a huge externality that impacts everyone.

i idled ALL night, EVERY night at Werner. didn't feel guilty about it either. one hand warmer taped to each sensor, wrapped with a bandana, then inserted into an insulated glove = idle all night long.
