    Nice try. Already tried this.
Took sodas 100% out of mix. Drank one coffee morning, water all day....
    These muscle spasms didn't stop.
But I develop a nice case of severe constipation....
Which didn't clear up for a week.

    KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this.

Just tried something a Werner driver was doing.

    It felt divine :D after.
Going to put this into routine.
The ballerina hand rail stretch. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll work.

I would get more potassium, food or pill with magnesium and walk every day at least a mile. Do it in 3 short walks. A brisk walk to increase your metabolism. Good luck.

Yes, I should have clarified the cramps did not suddenly disappeared after eating a banana but after increasing potassium my legs stopped cramping within 24 hours. I average between 80 to 125 miles a week on my road bike and about 8 hours in the gym, personally I prefer a pill but when my Dad was having the same problems he prefered eating a banana a day and is now able to get through the night without leg cramping.

Of course the OP may have something more severe like blood clots and should get checked out by his doctor but it is not going to hurt to take a potassium pill before his appointment and see what happens.

Me too. I keep some tablets, but 2 bananas/day usually is all I need. If I do get a cramp, 2 tablets, quick relief. I also have restless leg syndrome. What a BS that is. I mean, compared to when I had cancer, or got my %#& knocked stiff when a tree fell on me, it's like some kind of joke. Anyway, try increasing your potassium intake, and look into the sodium/potassium balance in your diet. Best.

The OP has lived with these since his teens and is currently 36. Excersize didn't help, as I used to ride a bike 10 miles a day 365 a year, 2 years. I lost 100 lbs, but cramps still occurred.
Dr Appt is set for Mon the 16th.

My theories include a genetic neurological disorder, unknown mineral or vitamin deficiency along with cold air and slightly decreased circulation.

My mother says, my deceased father lived with whole body nocturnal cramps his whole life...and lived on a muscle relaxer....

Today I've had four bananas, walked, and ballerina stretched at every instance...
    Started taking aspirin....just in case....
    So far...very temp relief....
