Most tanker companies probably do the heart rate test because at times you will be required to climb on top of the trailer. I know for sure Schneider Bulk does this test. Maybe it's walking stair steps or something, then check your heart rate.
I believe all those companies I listed hire from Bowling Green, KY.

Averitt Express has a terminal in Bowling Green, but I don't think that terminal does long haul. You can do better.
Dozens of companies to choose from.
Dartco Inc.
Milan Express
Midwest-coast Transport
Ozark Motor Lines
If you're concerned about the sleep study; here are companies that don't require a physical, only a urine test. You can use the DOT Medical Card you received for CDL school:
Paschall Truck Lines

Just passed my permit test. Start school Monday, and will already be ahead of the game.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
How's A&R? Just filled out an app. Was on my way to Prime Inc but a recruiter likes to bs and not contact someone when they leave multiple messages. Then she finally contacts me and was like you been out of school for over 45 days so you have to take a refresher course. Thanks for wasting my time.

Magnum will hire out of Sumter as we have loads going to Campbell's in Maxton, NC - that puts him only 50 miles from home. Once home time is up there's loads of fiberglass coming out of Chester, SC...

Hey Shortround... I am in the same boat as you. Prior military... Fed up with current job I've been at for 6 years, and making a leap of faith into a career that I have for years and years held as a back-up plan in my mind. I just wanted to chime in with the fact that this forum has been Enormously helpful. I have spent equal times between reading here, and pre-reading the CDL Manual I downloaded for free. I had a ton of rookie questions, and even though I'm sure they were answered here already.... lots of posters gave me some great advice, and pointed me in the right direction.
Good luck in your leap! Just as exciting as it is intimidating. -
seriously they looked like a good outfit from their site.
I wonder if they waive the one year for all vets or just recently separated? May have to call -

The only thing you THINK you know about Prime is what you have heard from 3rd, 12th, 52nd and or 85376678th hand convo.
ATTENTION Shortround77
