try and be debt free so you will have the money to do things you want to do. also try and have all the big ticket items in your house new or near new,washer,dryer,a/c,furnace,and the roof. find something to do,you will get tired of judge shows and you are the father shows in about a month. lots of luck

Buy a nice 5th wheel and Truck and camp all over the country and also travel to many places out of the country with my wife .. We love to see other places GOD has made, the earth is such a big place with so many beautiful places to see.. then when we can't travel anymore we'll find a nice cabin somewhere to settle and just hunt and fish and enjoy life till I die..

That's the plan for now we just gotta save save save..

20141121_233752.jpg When I retired I was planning to go to Subic and wait for my wife to retire next year and we'd migrate to the Philippines. For some reason she didn't think that was a good idea and now I'm back to work!! LOL

That's funny, all you guys are looking to get out of trucking at retirement, and I was hoping to get into it for retirement!
Of course, huge difference between trucking as your primary source of income, and just doing it a couple days a week to get off the ol' homestead.

In my vision, I would be the living embodiment of "no forced dispatch". Looking around for my gently used tractor every morning, online.

We did the chicken thing for awhile, but the varmints were relentless.

Live in a tree house, grow vegetables, smoke pot and drive a pos pickup truck. I've been traveling my whole life and just want to chill out.

  10. Put "KISS my $&% DOT PIGS". On my Pete, burn my ifta stickers peel off my MC & DOT #'s.

In 1/4" letting "NOT FOR HIRE" on base of door.

Burn anything that says LOG BOOK

Start in banning Ca. Drive 101 all the way to ca-or border. Blowing off every scale and DOT cop.

Looking forward to some fishing and hunting with my nephews. Wife and I don't have kids so were gonna spoil them instead.
