If your one of those guys that does not run with your CB on try looking in your mirror every once in awhile. I saw some idiot poking along in the hammer lane with a State Trooper with lights and siren on for a couple of miles below chicago the other day. Drivers was telling him to get over, but the fool had no clue..... on the way back there was a 4 wheeler going east bound on the west bound side.....![]()

I like to have the CB on just for the noise I call it my chatter box
-
No CB, no radio, no pets, no children, no nagging co-driver, no piss bottle, and my air conditioner is roll the window down, my heater is roll the window up.
-
Ya it always kills me when you get into a backup where the traffic is not moving.. I always hear them on the radio asking whats going on I had my CB off, Then after somebody tell them they do nothing but complain, I always say just think if you had your radio on you could be over here with me going around it lol...
Anyways nota I don't think 75% or more drivers check there mirrors but once an hour, or the quick 1/2 sec look before they pull out in front of me when I am going 75 and they are going 60... -
I rarely run with mine on anymore. I get tired of listening to *&^%$## followed by SHUT UP STUPID! , some moron burping, and the ever constant "I aint got no panties on." :smt078halfburn and capnhector Thank this.
-
Hrm.. I could say that.. but I definitely ain't interested in those who would respond... favorably.
-
I only turn mine on when i am backing in a T/S or at a Shipper/Reciever or when the traffic comes to a stand still other than that it is usually off. I used to have it on all the time back in the early 90's but anymore its just not worth turning it on unless i need to.

Yeah, you are right. I get tired of the crap too, but I squelch mine back. It is a tool as far as I am concerned. Part of the job. Sit in a back up and listen to 400 people ask whats going on. Wellllllll whats going on is you had your radio off and have no clue!
ghostchild Thanks this. -
I also don't have mine on much. However, if a backup occurs, I only listen, I never ask. -
