There used to be a 29ton restriction on this road, but with a new bridge that restriction is now lifted. Your truck GPS may show it as a non-truck route if you are set for more than 29 tons. Until the data is updated stated above is the most current.

Was it like a 50's style diner? I believe I have stayed there a night before. As for rt. 2, used to run it from Ayer to Adams a lot, It was a nice, beautiful, and peaceful drive when driving across there! Except you got west of 91, which you would've been on, and saw the moose signs! Luckily never met one on that route!
