actually our drop yard is at dysarts service center now right across from the restaurant. I hooked an empty and parked across the street and had a nice meal in the restaurant. Old school big tables just for truckers to sit together.

oneshot you're just missing out on too much fun living down there in florida lol

got the really off the wall granite falls to arcadia midweek trip. Kentucky was a nightmare. 8hrs Knoxville to Louisville. had briefly toyed with the idea of running 40 to Nashville to 65 looking at the radar when I shut down in Dandridge last night. knew 75 to 64 would be bad and it was.....but #### glad I went that way instead after seeing what 65 was today north out of Nashville into ky. weather channel when I shut down was showing anywhere from 8-20 inches along 75/64 with more the closer you got towards Louisville.

started sleeting in Jacksboro, heavy snow by Jellico and just went downhill from there. they hadn't pretreated anything due to the rain preceding the frozen stuff and you could sure tell it. once I got north of Louisville it cleared up and was rolling steady again.

gotta say I was pleasantly surprised with everyone on the road today. with the few exceptions of the fedex ground guys and the occasion o/o trying to be superman, only saw 3 trucks and 2 cars off the road the whole way and everyone was minding their speed and manners. sure made an intolerable ride a little less stressful.

really tight on the 70 to get back. an hour +/- a little to get it done. one screwup on the way back and I reset a stone's throw from the house.

Woke up this morning to -3 windchill -14.

Even with an an alcohol diluted windex mix and mirror heat on I watched the windex freeze on contact when I sprayed the mirrors. Decided clean windows this morning wasn't going to happen lol no way I could live up here.

At least I'll beat the Chicago traffic.

When you say up here, are you meaning, Bangor Maine?

We do have a drop yard in Hermon Maine, right in there back yard (HARTT) there main office is in Bangor (HARTT)

I did work For Billy Hartt years ago. Out of Bangor Maine.

I do not go that far north with Ashley to see it, But do miss stopping in at Dysart's once in a while for a hearty break feast, LOL

We do have a couple of drivers on here that, go that far north, they might chime in here.

pretty long week......didn't get in till 0500 this morning,

3596 for the week and 1:09 left on the 70 when I got in. pushes my reset out till 1500 tomorrow but I've hardly slowed down since the start of the year so I could use the break. doesn't start out the week good though starting so late on Monday. it'll either push me back to running deep into the weekend or getting a short week. I'd rather take one short week and stay on schedule than have to recap a week to get back on schedule

uneventful week for the most part other than the weather midweek. got to play the trailer goose chase out of the railyard Monday again. empty was showing at inman but wasn't there. the girl told me they sent the whole train over to Austell since inman was full. more fun at the automated kiosk again since the empty showed at inman but wasn't and didn't show at Austell but was there. each time you go you learn though lol......I checked in 'bobtail need no assistance' and then found the trailer and forced the checkout. I rightly figured out they're much more interested and quicker in solving a problem if you're holding up the checkout line than they are willing to spend time helping you if you're holding up the line getting in lol got the management drop and a couple extra miles for the trouble so I came out ahead on that trip

no plan for Monday so i'll just sleep in tomorrow and see what they've got around noonish
